Works with Live

Mini 2 integrates perfectly with Ableton Live-compatible cue-launching software such as Taz, AbleSet, and Setlist. Every Mini 2 includes a license to Taz Lite, our cue-launching plugin for Ableton Live.

Besides out-of-the-box compatibility with Ableton Live, many of our customers use their Oakboards with QLab, Logic, and various other workstations. This is thanks to Mini 2's compatibility with any software that allows MIDI controller mapping.

This thing is fantastic. Great weight and doesn’t fall off my keyboard. The “click” on the buttons is a game changer over other midi controllers. To know I actually I actually successfully started a track or muted a track seems so simple, but it’s a big deal.

Would love an expansion “companion” unit with more buttons and faders for other functions.

Thanks for the review! I think that's a good thing, haha! If you need to disable the PLAY button blink for any reason, you can turn off the MIDI Clock SYNC IN on your digital audio workstation.

10/10 Controller

Just picked one of these up in US on tour. Incredible controller, had it set up and show ready in minutes. Really smart interfacing and great physical action too.

Had a quick question about reprogramming midi notes that was answered about half hour later.

Simply Perfect!

I have been using my AKAI APC 40 controller with TAZ Show Presets for a while now and it always worked perfectly fine. Just added Oakboard Mini to my setup, and it's simply great! Now I am using Oakboard Mini as dedicated controller for launching songs in Ableton Live while performing freely (and safely) on AKAI APC. Great combo for me! Very pleased by the quality of this little box. Highly recommend!
